Baboquivari Jaguar
Before modern times, the jaguar's range extended into Texas, New
Mexico, and Arizona. Presently the jaguar is rarely sighted in the
United States. This rendering places the borderland jaguar in one of
the locations where it has been sighted, in the vicinity of Baboquivari
Peak, , southwest of Tucson and just north of the Republic of Mexico.
